As part of our ongoing commitment to protect and enhance our natural environment, and reduce our waste to landfill, we have begun the placement of new green organic bins.
Locations
We have begun the placement of new green organic bins in the north-western burial section, Orthodox, Maronite, Lawn and some Catholic areas.
These bins sit alongside our existing red general waste bins, making it easier for everyone to help reduce waste to landfill and care for the beautiful grounds we all enjoy.
What goes where?
Green Organics Bins
For organic, compostable materials:
- Real flowers and leaves. Please remember to remove all wrapping, wire and elastic bands before placing natural items in the green bin.
- All takeaway containers including coffee cups and lids from Wildflowers Café can safely go into the green bin.
Red Landfill Bins
For general waste:
- Flower packaging, including plastic wrapping, wire and elastic bands.
- Foam and polystyrene.
- Plastic or silk flowers, ornaments and pots.
If you’re unsure, simply check the signage on the front of each bin.

Wildflowers Café Takeaway Packaging

Wildflowers Café shares our commitment to the environment; all their takeaway packaging is now compostable and can go straight into the green bins.
These include:
- All coffee cups and lids
- Takeaway food containers
- Paper bags, napkins and cutlery
Green organics bins are conveniently located inside the Café and outside in the concourse.

Why It Matters
By taking a moment to sort your waste, you’re helping us maintain a natural sanctuary that supports wellbeing and provides space for visitors to reflect, reconnect and honour the people who matter most.
Together, our small everyday choices help protect the environment and ensure our Park remains a place of reflection, connection and natural beauty.
