Renew a memorial
Renewing ensures your loved one’s memorial remains a beautiful place for family and friends to visit and remember them into the future.
Anyone, not just the Interment Right Holder, can add tenure to the interment right. Tenure can be added at any time.
Search for your loved one’s memorial in the search box below and click ‘Renew Online’ to begin the process.
Currently, remembrance plaque only locations will not show in your online search.

How to renew an interment right online
1. Search for the memorial position by entering the deceased’s name.
2. Click “Renew Online” next to the position.
3. Choose an option:
- Convert to perpetuity – no need for future renewals
- Renew for the original term – 30 years for ashes memorials and 50 years for burial positions
- Customisable term from the expiry date with a minimum 5 years as required by SA Burial and Cremation Act 2013.
4. Read and accept the terms and conditions.
5. Click Submit to proceed to checkout.
6. Review your details and complete payment securely.
7. A receipt and Statement of Interment Right will be mailed to you.
