Frequently Asked Questions
What if I can’t find a memorial?
If your search does not return a result, it may be due to:
- An expired interment right – Some memorials were issued with a limited tenure and may have expired.
- A plaque-only position – These are not yet included in the search tool.
- Spelling variations – Try different name formats or alternative spellings.

How do I update memorial details?
If a memorial listing has incorrect details or missing information, please let us know so we can review and update our records.

How can I renew an interment right online?
1. Search for the memorial position by entering the deceased’s name.
2. Click “Renew Online” next to the position.
3. Choose an option:
- Convert to perpetuity (permanent)
- Renew for the original term (30 years for ashes/plaque-only, 50 years for burial)
- Extend for 10 years
- Add the minimum 5 years (required by SA Burial and Cremation Act 2013).
4. Read and accept the terms and conditions.
5. Click Submit to proceed to checkout.
6. Review your details and complete payment securely.
7. A receipt and Statement of Interment Right will be mailed to you.

Once you have located a memorial position, you may wish to visit in person. Centennial Park provides maps and directional assistance to help you find the location easily.
