At the heart of our mission lies a deep commitment to our community, and this commitment takes shape in a variety of meaningful ways. We are not only the stewards of a cherished park, but we also play a broader role in our community; supporting groups and specific causes who, like us, provide much-needed services to the South Australian community.
Our impact reaches far beyond our Park’s borders as we align ourselves with organisations that share common values and who work tirelessly to provide essential services to those in need.
This commitment goes beyond words, transforming into real, meaningful donations to diverse charitable organisations, contributing to our community’s well-being.
For donations, we don’t use operating revenue; rather, we use the money we receive from the recycling of plaques and residual cremation metals. These funds are set aside specifically for this purpose. These dedicated funds not only support existing initiatives but also fuel potential future community projects, demonstrating our long-term dedication to community growth.
We have provided a number of donations totalling $143,194, including:
- August 2019: The Smith Family – www.thesmithfamily.com.au
- August 2019: Legacy SA & Broken Hill – www.legacy.com.au/adelaide
- August 2019: Lifechanger Foundation – www.lifechanger.org.au
- July 2023: Food on the Table – www.foodonthetable.org.au
Donations are determined in line with our comprehensive guidelines that reflect our vision, values, and strategic pillars and benefit South Australians.
To be eligible recipients must:
- Have a clear connection with Centennial Park’s vision, purpose, or values; and align with one or more of our strategic pillars.
- Use the funds to provide services to benefit South Australians, even if the organisation operates nationally.
- Be an organisation, not an individual, and be a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. The organisation must be up to date with its ACNC reporting requirements.
- Not be affiliated with a political party or religious body, such as a specific church or congregation.
Submissions are accepted throughout the year. If you know of an organisation that embodies these principles and could benefit from our support, please contact us [email protected] or call 8276 6011.
Join us in shaping a brighter future for our community, one meaningful initiative at a time.
