Environmental Sustainability Plan Launch
We officially launched our Environmental Sustainability Plan 2024 – 2028 on Thursday 8 August 2024.
As custodians of this exceptional space, we recognise the need to not only care for this beautiful environment but protect it for generations to come.
The five-year plan is our commitment to achieving long-term environmental sustainability, adapting the way we deliver services, enhancing the natural habitat of our Park and providing a healthy and resilient place for all.
Built on a strong foundation of our past actions and achievements, including significant reduction in carbon emissions and waste to landfill, the new goals set have been informed following extensive research and collaboration.
We were privileged to have the Deputy Premier and Minister for Climate, Environment and Water, The Honourable Susan Close MP join us at the Launch. The Deputy Premier said, “This is exactly what needs to happen to address the challenges of nature being erased in large parts of the world and this looming climate catastrophe that we’re all facing. This is something that affects all of us and we need to respond collectively”.
We thank all those who joined us for the launch event; those with whom we partner every day in the delivery of our services, and who will be critical in the implementation of this plan.
