Maxine Moira Lakin was born on August 30, 1927, in Cowell, South Australia, her father, Ernest, was 27 and her mother, Mabel was 30. She married Beverley Anthony Foster Mawson on May 30, 1953, in St Peter’s Chapel, Kure, Hiroshima, Japan. They had three children during their marriage, Michael, Christopher and Patricia. She passed away peacefully aged 68 years on April 3,1996, in RAH, Adelaide, South Australia. She was surrounded by her immediate family.
