At Centennial Park funeral services, burial, and memorial positions are much more than final goodbyes. Together they create a valuable emotional anchor point; a comfortable soothing place for family and friends to return and reflect on the life of their loved one.
Respecting South Australia’s diverse cultural landscape, we offer families a wide variety of burial options including vaults, earth burials, large headstones, monuments and areas that accommodate specific religious and cultural requirements.
All are situated within the tranquil surrounds of our Park, ensuring a uniquely peaceful atmosphere, and a fitting testimony to the lives of those held dear. They simply are a place of enduring peace and dignity. For more information about our burial options, view our Burial Services Brochure.

Classic Burial
Standard sized burial positions offer a headstone on a beam, including areas to accommodate for specific religions such as Bahai, Catholic, Druze, Lutheran, Maronite, Muslim, Orthodox, Orthodox Jewish and Progressive Jewish faiths.
For those families who would like a burial position to accommodate a large casket or larger headstone, large burial options are currently available in certain sections within Centennial Park.
Lawn Burial
Simple and fully irrigated ensuring year-round lush surroundings. Distinguished by unobtrusive, beautifully uniform sloping granite headstones.
Wide Headstone
Specifically developed to provide more space for larger coffins or caskets, as well as a wider headstone. Available in both irrigated and non-irrigated areas of the Park.
General Vaults
Centennial Park has a limited number of concrete vaults available in the General Vault area which can be purchased by families who are looking for a vault burial instead of an earth burial. Vault positions are also available in our premium area, Olive Terrace.
Derrick Gardens
Established in 1956 Derrick Gardens is named after WWII Victoria Cross recipient Lieutenant Thomas “Diver” Derrick and is a specifically designated area for returned or current service personnel. Stationed tall at the base of Derrick Gardens is the Cross of Remembrance, which is protected by two towering pine trees sown from the seedlings originally from Lone Pine in Gallipoli.
Adjacent to Derrick Gardens, the Services Family Garden is specifically designed for spouses and families of service personnel. This garden features Bottlebrush trees that provide shade and protection to a variety of spectacularly sculpted and flourishing roses. To view more about the Services Family Garden, click here.
